A Simple Plan: Traveling

Wanderlust: The Compulsion to Travel

You may have traveled the world and visited many places. Seasoned travelers go on daring adventures that most people would not even think about and visit places few only dream of. What drives these people to go on endless adventures?

Imagine the beaches in Hawaii or Spain – what’s the difference? They’re both beaches with sea, sand, and sun, and people. Their food might be different, but would you go to all the trouble just to discover that different beaches offer different food? So it doesn’t matter whether you’re rolling on the sandy beach in Hawaii or dipping your ankle on a beach in Spain. What’s important is that you are free from all the stress that going to work daily gives you. This is the reason why you choose to travel.

The pleasure of experiencing new things is what makes traveling such a bargain. You are thinning out your traveling experience by just going to the beach, resorts, and places of entertainment. Don’t travel just for that.

Travel for the wanderlust that compels you to go out in the first place and try new things. Few people feel this compulsion that you do and have the chance to fulfill your dreams. Reignite your passion for travel and fall in love with the outdoors again.

There may be an exotic place you have been imagining about because you saw it online from a travel blog. The internet is a great place to view the world to explore places you’ve never traveled to. All you have to do is google it or search for it on youtube, and chances are you’ll find the perfect paradise to visit next.

Be inspired. Have you been to the lovely islands of the Philippines and met its friendly people or visited the thick jungles in Africa? Let your fingers do the walking, just click on the mouse and your computer will take you there.

Make a bucket list of the places you want to visit or the activities you want to do in your lifetime. Add to this list specific activities like going camping on a mountain top or shaking hands with a village chief, or traveling on a cruise ship. Think of extra-ordinary activities worth taking pictures of or saving on video. Get inspiration from these activities and look forward to accomplishing them.

It might be good to bring along friends on your next adventure. Take your friends to places you’ve been to before and share with them your wonderful experiences. If you have friends with you, going on that thrilling escapade might not be as scary as when you are alone. Your friends might be thinking of other adventures you haven’t tried before.

This should make your travel worth the trouble.
